Type of services
This project comprises two buildings and is located in a neighbourhood that is evolving rapidly.
The first building houses the National Library of France’s storage area and consists of a series of gantries enclosed by fine stainless steel mesh. Its airtight design ensures optimal preservation conditions for collection items and helps reduce energy consumption.
A total of 260 kilometres of documents are stored in a fully automated, 100,000 cubic metres hall that is maintained in a low-oxygen environment.
The second building, which is dedicated to workshops and logistics, features a concrete and timber frame with large, glazed sections.
