The development solution involves completely resurfacing the deck of the existing piled quay and constructing a new 30-metre-wide, 350-metre-long piled quay in front of the current structure.
The project also includes the construction of three access platforms for the new quay and the complete redevelopment of the sevenhectare container yard.
The project’s primary objective is to enhance the container terminal’s operating capacity while ensuring the safety of the structures and providing a flexible and adaptable layout. The work is being carried out in two phases, with half of the facilities remaining operational at all times.
