Virbac, the world’s sixth-largest manufacturer of veterinary medicinal products, has started building a new facility for vaccine formulation and freeze-drying. This will enable the company to increase production and strengthen its global competitiveness.
Our subsidiary specialising in pharmaceutical and biotech engineering, ILS (Ingerop Life Sciences), and the Group’s general engineering teams are supporting the creation of this 4,500 square metre laboratory by providing project management assistance services:
- Feasibility studies
- Detailed preliminary design studies
- Process (formulation, isolator-based vial filling line feeding two freeze-dryers with automatic loading and unloading)
- Monitoring of the general contractor.
The new facility will meet Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, including sterile processes, clean rooms and clean utilities, and will achieve BREEAM ‘Good’ environmental certification
