EMT Madrid (Madrid Municipal Transport Company) Place
Madrid, Spain Type of services
EMT Madrid wanted to equip its depot with electric charging stations to strengthen the infrastructure needed for operating zero-emission vehicles. Our subsidiary Evectra was selected for its expertise in electrical engineering for the final three phases of the project:
- phase 2 – Electrification of 52 buses with 7.5 MVA electrical connection. Installation of two underground transformer centres (5,000 kVA each), a lowvoltage busbar system, and a 333 kWp photovoltaic power plant,
- phase 3 – electrification of 118 buses with the installation of two new transformer centers, an upgraded low-voltage system, and a 696 kWp photovoltaic power plant,
- phase 4 – extension for 60 buses including adaptation of the medium-voltage ring, a new transformer centre, reinforcement of the low-voltage system, and a photovoltaic power plant 333.
This project embodies a commitment to developing integrated solutions that facilitate the energy transition and contribute to sustainable, innovative transport.
