The European Metropolis of Lille has awarded the Étamine consortium, comprising SYSTRA, Ingérop, Transitec, Gautier+Conquet puma, Richez_Associés and Lavigne & Chéron, the project management of the new tramway for the Lille metropolitan area and its suburbs, as well as the Lille–Villeneuve d’Ascq Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line.
A tramway and BRT line serving 290,000 residents
The Extramobile programme, which aims to transform mobility in the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) by 2035, consists of new, high-performance structural lines designed to improve accessibility and encourage a modal shift towards public transport.
The Étamine consortium has won two project management contracts for this programme:
- The Lille metropolitan area tramway and its surrounding area, awarded to the ÉTAMINE consortium, comprising SYSTRA (lead contractor), Ingérop, Transitec, and the architectural firms Gautier+Conquet puma, Richez_Associés and Lavigne & Chéron;
 - The Lille – Villeneuve d’Ascq BRT, awarded to the ÉTAMINE consortium, comprising SYSTRA, Ingérop (lead contractor), Transitec, and the architectural firms Gautier+Conquet puma and Richez_Associés.
