It is forecast that, by 2030, over 60% of the world’s GDP will be accounted for by fewer than 500 cities around the globe. If behaviour does not change, urban development will represent over half of the increase in carbon emissions. Every stakeholder therefore has a part to play in developing pio- neering towns and cities that are better connected, reachable by adequate public transport and firmly on course for reducing CO2 emissions. An increasing part of INGEROP engineering services are dedicated to optimizing environmental issues in the design of buildings and civil engineering construction. In order to implement such measures in our daily act of design and behaviour, we moved our headquarters to Green Office® Rueil, France’s largest positive-energy building and an outstanding example of low-carbon solutions in action. In this 10th issue of our internal newsletter we further develop this move as well as some key new projects and events involving INGEROP.
