BRIEF DESCRIPTION

It was at the first ordinary summit of the G5 Sahel in November 2015 in N'Djamena, Chad, that the Heads of State of Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Chad decided to build a railway, the "Trans-Sahelian", to link their five countries. The idea was subsequently included in the Priority Investment Program, the first phase of which covers the period 2019-2021 and contains forty structuring and quick-impact projects. It is within this framework that INGEROP intervenes, alongside CIRA, a Malian consultancy firm, and SGIE, a Mauritanian consultancy firm, as head of mission on the railway and legal aspects of the project. The feasibility study was launched on 6th September 2019 in Ouagadougou by the Minister in charge of Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety of Burkina Faso.
