Toulouse (31)In 2011, Ingerop Toulouse, won the complete project management of the new Toulouse Exhibition Center (PEX), together with the Dutch agency Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA-Rem Koolaas), and the Toulouse architectural agencies Puig -Pujol and Taillandier.
Located in the commune of Aussonne in the immediate vicinity of Blagnac airport and Airbus, the PEX will replace the obsolete and dilapidated equipment located in downtown Toulouse.
The project represents an overall budget (infrastructure and buildings) of approximately 240 million euros of works carried out as follows:
- 66 M€ HT of infrastructure,
- 17 M€ HT tramways,
- 157 M€ HT for buildings.
Major elements:
- An Exhibition Hall 600 m long, 80 m wide and 12 m high, with a floor area of 40.000 m².
- A Hall of Major Events (HGE) of 15.000 m² for concerts for 12.000 people, major sport events, trade shows...
- A 1.700-seat convention center offering 6 conference rooms, including a room with gradins for 800 people and adjoining rooms.
- A 600m long, 32m wide and 24m high, reinforced concrete silo parking lot that will house 3.000 parking spaces 0n levels 2 to 5 and, which will house on the ground floor a central street of 8m high allowing the wandering and serving of the various halls.
- An outdoor exhibition area of 40.000 m² and car parks reserved for exhibitors in the north and south parts of the buildings.
The PEX will be served by the T1 tramway line extended by 730 meters with the creation of a dedicated station overlooking the park's forecourt. It will thus be connected directly to the Blagnac airport- a part of this line, T1-Envol, was was successfully put into operation under Ingerop's management at the beginning of April 2015.
