Restructuring and extension of the Strasbourg Music and Congresses Palace (PMC)

The building will be equipped with a dedicated exhibition area, an amphitheater with 600 seats, restaurant areas and commercial spaces.
Outdoor car parks and technical rooms.

SPECIFICITIES:

Realization of an extension (PMC3) of the order of 8.000 m² SHON,
Restructuring and modernization of the existing buildings, proposing a specification of the 2 wings as follows:

• ERASME wing dedicated to music,
• SCHWEITZER wing dedicated to congress functions.

This specialization of the sites will offer both greater visibility and operational comfort to the Philharmonic Orchestra and will optimize the usage ranges for congresses and economic events.
Creation of new halls for commissions, rehearsals and restaurant areas and expansion of the Schweitzer amphitheater from 900 to 1200 seats.
Recovery and development of outdoor spaces (courtyard and surrounding areas).

The operation is the subject of an environmental quality approach aimed in particular at the construction of a BBC building for the extension (Building Low Energy Consumption).
