Passenger pedestrian flows at the Grand Paris train stations

Société du Grand Paris

Mission

Study of simulation of pedestrian traffic dynamics

Lieu

Ile-de-France

The Société du Grand Paris wishes to assess the fluidity of traffic and the size of the spaces in the Greater Paris public transport network (RTGP) stations. The impact of the development of these stations on the flow in the current or projected related infrastructures must also be quantified.

In this context, Ingérop carries out dynamic simulations of pedestrian flows in the future stations and spaces of correspondence.

Two stations of the Greater Paris transport network were treated at this stage:

  • Le Vert de Maisons (RER D / Red Line connection between Alfortville and Maisons-Alfort)
  • Bois-Colombes (correspondence between Transilien J and Red Line in Bois-Colombes).

The simulations made it possible to analyze the planned operation of the study area.

The projects carried out by Ingérop include:

  • Simulation of a timing scenario where applicable,
  • Simulation of future configurations,
  • Analysis of results and optimization proposal.
