The opening of the new terminal (terminal 1 Hall B) on 7^th of October was attended by Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Transport and Gérard Collomb, Minister of the Interior, Laurent Wauquiez, President of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, Christophe Guilloteau, president of the Rhône Department, as well as David Kimelfeld, President of the Metropole of Lyon, Xavier Huillard, General Manager of Vinci and Emmanuel Imberton, President of the Lyon Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.

Ingerop is responsible for providing technical, administrative, financial and coordination assistance to this project. We have intervened since the launch of the call for applications of the designers, until the delivery of the building. Yves Metz, Chairman of Ingerop and Jean-Yves Onnillon, Deputy Director of Ingerop Alpes Center East, also travelled to assist to this inauguration ceremony.

Designed by the architects Rogers Stirk Harbor and Partners and Chabanne, the new T1 terminal with a surface of 70,000 m2 on 3 levels is built in the continuity of the old terminal and represents an overall investment of 215 million euros. It makes it possible to double the current area of ​​Lyon-Saint Exupery airport. The goal is to reach 15 million passengers after 2020.

The link between this new terminal and the existing terminal 1 is now being built. The work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.
