Boulogne-sur-Mer (62)The extension will make Nausicaa the biggest aquarium in Europe with two great attraction:
- "Adventure on the high seas" comprising a basin of 9.500 m3, 8m deep; with (among others) Hammer sharks, Manta ray and moon fish,
- "Polar regions" with walruses and penguins.
Ingérop is responsible for the realization and design of the fishkeeping lot and the technical equipment related to the aquariums: filtrations, lighting, glazing, bins, equipment, wave mill, etc...
The task includes:
- Dimensioning of water treatment system from the moment of pumping it at the sea to its utilization in the different basins,
- through closed circuit filtration,
- and to finishing the treatment and purification of the water before discharging it back to the sea.
