The A466 link project consists of completing the Anse junction between the A6 and the A46 Nord to allow exchanges between these two motorways in the South direction, which is currently impossible.

It is part of the overall scheme of motorway projects in the Greater Lyon area: A89 and link A89 - A6, A432 between A46 and A42, bypass of Lyon West; A45; section Ouest Périphérique.

The main objective of this project is therefore to constitute a bypass route north of the agglomeration for East-West traffic arriving via the future A89 motorway, thus avoiding "over-congestion" of the tunnel under Fourviere and the Boulevard Périphérique Nord.

The new A466 junction measures 6.5 km and integrates the necessary equipment for the maintenance and operation of the motorway network.

The constraints of the A6 and A46 junction, as well as one of RD306 and RD87 and the railway line, the presence of the groundwater at 1 to 3 meters below the natural terrain, the presence of a gas pipeline and the importance of the flood zone on the Saône side, led to the project of complete backfilling, with the exception of the flood compensation area of the Saône and accurate multifunctional water reservoirs.

The task entrusted to Ingérop includes defining the integration and compensatory measures of the infrastructure, carrying out and examining regulatory design dossiers and ensuring the environmental follow-up in the implementation phase.
